We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Club Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our gym. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitness management, sales, and customer service, with the leadership skills to build a high-performing team and create a vibrant, community-focused gym environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations of the gym, fitness floor, group classes, personal training, and facility maintenance.
- Ensure the club is clean, safe, well-maintained, and fully compliant with health & safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage inventory and equipment needs.
Sales & Membership Growth
- Manage the sales team, setting goals and KPIs to ensure consistent growth.
- Track performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all club staff including front desk personnel, personal trainers, and cleaning/maintenance staff.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching.
Customer Experience
- Handle member feedback, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Promote a friendly and inclusive community environment.
Marketing & Community Outreach
- Partner with marketing to execute local campaigns, events, and promotions.
- Build relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to generate new leads.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fitness club/gym management or similar leadership role.
- Strong sales and customer service background.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of fitness industry trends and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Sports Management, or related field.
- Experience using gym management software (e.g., Mindbody, Club OS, Zen Planner).
- Personal training or group fitness certification is a plus.
