Mentoring at Twinfield The mission of Twinfield Together Mentoring Program is to create and support meaningful mentoring relationships and connections so that youth in our community are engaged and thriving. Clubs and wellness activities complement 1:1 mentoring by providing students opportunities for connection and new experiences during the school day with peers and community members. Position SummaryPosition Overview: Position Overview: The wellness coordinator oversees clubs and wellness programming for students and coordinates community engagement events for both students and families.

This role focuses on fostering an inclusive environment that supports student well-being, builds strong relationships, and enhances the overall school community. The wellness coordinator will collaborate with the health teacher, student assistance professional (SAP), school counselors, and mentoring program director to plan and implement wellness programs. Key Responsibilities: Organize clubs and wellness events offered during the school dayServe on school-based wellness team to ensure offerings meet evolving student needsAccess effectiveness of wellness programs through surveys and feedback from students, families, and staffJob DutiesAdministrative: Manage grant funding including application and budgeting, tracking expenses, donations, and fundraising, and monitor success of program implementationResearch and pursue funding opportunities relevant to student well-beingProvide regular program updates to advisory board, school administration, and families Engage in professional development to increase knowledge of best practicesMaintain confidentiality of student and family information in accordance with district policy and legal requirementsTrack attendance, engagement metrics, and budget expenditures for reporting and future planningMaintain inventory of wellness supplies, club materials, and event equipmentProgramming: Design and implement evidence-based wellness initiatives, workshops, and activities focusing on physical, mental, and emotional healthCollaborate with counselors, educators, and staff to identify student needs and integrate wellness practices into daily routinesProvide resources and mentorship to students, serving as a trusted advocate for health and well-beingRecruit, train, and support faculty advisors to ensure clubs are safe, inclusive, and aligned with organizational valuesMaintain a master calendar of club meetings and events to prevent scheduling conflictsCommunity and Family Engagement: Plan, promote, and execute large-scale community wellness events Develop communication materialssuch as newsletters, flyers, and social media updatesto keep families informed and engagedCollaborate with school-based wellness team to plan and implement monthly wellness community engagement eventsEstablish partnerships with local organizations, health professionals, and businesses to bring external resources and expertise into the communityMaintain professional relationships with school colleagues and community partnerQualifications/ExperienceTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essentialduty satisfactorily, in addition to the following: Education and Experience. A high school diploma or GED required.

A Bachelors degree in social work, psychology, volunteer management, education or a related field is preferred. Language Skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common educational procedures and regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from parents, regulatory agencies, or members of the community.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals that conform to school/district standards or regulations. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from administrators, parents, peers, board members, and the general public.Mathematical/Reasoning Skills. Ability to interpret and use test results by applying math concepts such as standard error of measurement, bands of confidence, standard scores, and percentiles. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills and Experience. Good basic computer skills and experience with word processing programs required. Experience with Microsoft and Google preferred.Communication and Interpersonal Skills. Ability to efficiently, effectively, and regularly communicate and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals, including students, peers, subordinates, supervisors, parents, and representatives of outside organizations.
