Job Description: Cluster Head – Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of STP/ETP PlantsPosition: Cluster Head – O&M (STP/ETP)

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) in the assigned cluster.
• Ensure treated water consistently meets CPCB/SPCB norms.
• Supervise chemical preparation, dosing, and optimization of treatment processes.

Technical Expertise:

• Perform dosing calculations for Lime, Alum, Polyelectrolytes, PAC, and other chemicals used in ETP/STP operations.
• Monitor process parameters (pH, DO, MLSS, TSS, BOD, COD, Ammonia, Phosphates).
• Troubleshoot operational issues like sludge bulking, foaming, poor BOD/COD removal.

Maintenance & Reliability:

• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of pumps, blowers, agitators, clarifiers, filter presses, and other equipment.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams for smooth plant functioning.
• Ensure availability of spares and consumables at all sites.

Team Management:

• Lead and guide a team of operators, chemists, and supervisors across multiple sites.
• Conduct on-site training programs for operators/chemists on O&M practices and safety.
• Ensure manpower availability and discipline at all plants.

Administration & Reporting:

• Coordinate with client officials for smooth O&M services.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports (plant performance, chemical consumption, maintenance activities).
• Raise indents for chemicals, consumables, and spare parts.
• Ensure timely bill submission, compliance documents, and follow-up with clients.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, OHS (Occupational Health & Safety), and company policies.
• Maintain logbooks, checklists, and statutory records as per audit requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in O&M of STP/ETP plants.
• Strong knowledge of ETP & STP process flow, dosing calculations, and maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in handling lab instruments (pH meter, DO meter, turbidity meter, jar test).
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to prepare technical and compliance reports.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Odisha & Jharkhand.
• Candidate must be based in Jharkhand or Odisha.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of MBR, MBBR, ASP, and tertiary treatment systems.
• Familiarity with PLC/SCADA-based automation.
• Experience in handling client interactions and audits.
• Ability to optimize cost by reducing chemical and power consumption.

• Salary: As per industry standards + travel allowance.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
