CMA- Ambulatory Surgery Center

In search of a CMA to join our small, hardworking, fun loving team of surgery center staff who provide surgical care to urology patients.

Job Summary: Responsible for providing a safe and compassionate environment for our patients undergoing surgical intervention. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, pre- and post-operative phone calls, patient intake, skin prep, charting, coordination of anesthesia, coordination of equipment, supplies and medications, patient positioning, draping, vital sign monitoring, patient transport, room turnover and patient discharge.

Candidate will possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety. Being compassionate and sensitive is a prerequisite for the profession. The ideal candidate goes one step further by being a critical thinker, fast to act in emergencies.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program
• Current Washington State licensure as a Certified Medical Assistant
• At least one year of medial assistant experience preferred but new graduates welcome to apply
• Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients and others
• Self-motivated and directed
• Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
• In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
• Current BCLS certification, required or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Current ACLS certification, required or able to obtain within 30 days of hire

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
