New Horizons Healthcare currently has a full-time Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant / LPN / RN position available.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or LPN with clinical experience in Family Practice including Pediatrics. eCW, EMR system and other computer experience required, Spanish-speaking a plus. Candidate must be team-oriented, with excellent communication skills, and a strong orientation to customer service. Interact effectively with patients, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds. Hours primarily: Monday through Friday- 8:00am to 5:00pm with one hour lunch breaks and no weekends. This position will be a float position, potentially working with multiple providers in an as needed capacity. Primarily responsible for rooming 18-22 patients a day with some work time outside of the scheduled patient times to stock rooms and prepare for the week. This float position provides flexible clinical support to providers and care teams as needed. Responsibilities include assisting staff assigned to providers, completing nurse visits, and filling operational gaps to ensure continuity of patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or Certification in Medical Assisting or valid nursing license
- 1+ years’ experience in medical assisting in a family practice (preferred but not required)
- English, Spanish-extra compensation
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
