Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medical Technician / Level 1 Med Aide (CMT/L1MA), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care across diverse settings. This full-time position is for days, 4a-4p. The dynamic position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with individuals requiring assisted living, memory care, and other specialized health services. As a CMT/L1MA, you will be at the forefront of supporting patient well-being through clinical assistance, medical documentation, and direct care activities. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily patient care activities in our assisted living facilities.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and temperature accurately.
- Support medication administration procedures following strict HIPAA guidelines and medical protocols.
- Perform specialized care tasks including medication management for patients with complex needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records using PCC to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities while respecting individual dignity and preferences.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each patient's condition, including working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings; experience with Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice or dementia care is highly valued.
- Must have a current CMT or L1MA certification.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures such as vital signs monitoring and catheter care.
- Ability to administer medication on time and chart effectively.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
- Prior experience in medical office environments or acute care settings is a plus.
