Duties

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Support medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs including Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory care, behavioral health challenges, and those requiring hospice or palliative care.
  • Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, wound dressing changes, and infection control practices in accordance with hospital protocols and Level I/II trauma center standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings like ICU or emergency medicine units to ensure timely patient service and safety.
  • Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations while managing patient records accurately using EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or CareCloud.

Requirements

  • Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure in good standing.
  • Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (ICU, PICU), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology knowledge, and basic life support (BLS).
  • Experience with specialized care such as Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care, behavioral health management, or infectious disease care is highly desirable.
  • Ability to operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts, vital sign monitors, and EHR systems effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work compassionately with patients of all ages—including pediatrics—and their families.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical documentation procedures to ensure patient privacy and data security. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.63 - $27.25 per hour
