Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living, and hospice care. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring comfort and dignity for all individuals. The Nursing Assistant will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to assist patients with daily living activities and medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Provide support for patients with disabilities and those requiring special assistance.
• Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving to and from beds, chairs, or wheelchairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns.
• Participate in the development of patient care plans in collaboration with nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients to enhance their quality of life.

Requirements

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience is required.
• Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or senior care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with phlebotomy procedures is a plus.
• Knowledge of hospice care principles is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities..
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
