Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide exceptional in-home care to patients across diverse healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a wide range of patient populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or injury. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Candidates should possess strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to improve patients' quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately in EMR/EHR systems
- Administer medications as prescribed following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, memory impairments, or behavioral health conditions
- Support patients with complex medical needs including catheter care, wound management, and infection control procedures
- Assist with mobility and transfers for patients in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in hospital medicine, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute care environments to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to medical terminology standards and legal requirements
- Educate patients and families about health management strategies and medication administration
- Follow all safety protocols including basic life support procedures and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience in various healthcare environments such as long-term care, hospice, acute care, ICU, PICU, or emergency medicine is highly desirable
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations
- Experience working with vulnerable populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, or individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength such as lifting (Hoyer lift) and transfers safely and effectively
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like phlebotomy or DME experience are advantageous
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to all safety standards related to infectious disease care and aseptic techniques

Pay: $16.00 - $28.88 per hour
