Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled CNA's , MA's, LPN's and Registered Nurses to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wound care management, with experience in various medical settings. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with complex wound care needs, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. We accept nurse practitioners with no experience and train them fully to meet our high standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with wounds to develop individualized care plans.
- Perform wound debridement and apply appropriate dressings and treatments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on wound care management and prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for patient records and documentation.
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives related to wound care.
- Provide telehealth consultations as needed to enhance patient access to care.
Qualifications
- Current license with certification or experience in Wound Care preferred.
- Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital settings is highly desirable.
- Proficiency or willing to be trained in debridement, assessment and risk reduction, IV infusion, phlebotomy, and medication administration.
- Familiarity with or willingness to be trained on ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and medical documentation practices and EHR training
- Knowledge of various medical specialties including geriatrics, internal medicine, and infectious disease care.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to wound healing.
- Excellent patient assessment skills and ability to manage acute pain effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating strong communication skills.
