CNA-Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Job Overview
We are looking for a CNA or a Non-Emergency medical transport driver that can provide PRN medical care to 1 or 2 patients in various situations, ensuring their safety and well-being during transport. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, effective communication skills, and ability to lift heavy equipment. This person will not be need to lift anyone that cannot assist in their transport in some way. Many of them are unable to drive or have a disablility that requires them to have home health care and/or transport that is beyond the scope of just being dropped off and picked up.

Immediate hire for transport driving. This is NOT a FT/PT position. This is as needed and it can vary from 3-6 hrs per visit depending on the distance of the appointment.

Appointments can be as close as Walterboro or as far as N. Charleston or Columbia. Top pay is offered to the right canididate that has long standing with the same client or clients.

Patients are open to being transported in your personal or business vehicle or you can be screened and cleared to drive theirs, if applicable.

Canidates MUST be reliable and dependable. You must be have great Time Management to ensure that the patients do not miss their appointments.

Duties

• Medical Transport for a medical office visits. Assist with transport to and from Doctors appts. Assisting with transport to patient rooms and back to vehicle
• Assess patients' conditions and determine necessary interventions.
• Drive emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service during interactions with patients and their families.
• Assisting with medical form as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service roles is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• Previous experience in paratransit, shuttle driving, limousine, van driving, or school bus driving is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations while providing compassionate care.
• Must be able to push or transport patients in a wheelchair or assist with a walker if needed.
• Must stay with the patient within the building or in the room if they approve with HIPAA clearance if requrested, if needed and applicable.
• Most appointments are not longer than 1-2 hours, but travel time can be up to 1 hr one way depending on traffic. You are compensated for hours of when the patient is picked up and the entire that the patient is with you until they are dropped off. Hours are rounded up in 30 min to the total hr increments.
• Must have good references.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
