CNA - Private In-Home Care - Contract Work - Flexible Shifts in Charleston area

Are you a CNA looking for the ability to set your own hours? Are you grounded, mid-life stable and do you want to provide one-on-one care to a senior in their beautiful home?

As a private duty caregiver you will get the schedule that you want and you work directly for the client/clients family. This is not a traditional job, your input into what you want is just as important as the clients. The schedule is flexible and lets you have work life balance. You decide what is best for you with options.

You will provide essential daily support and accompany the client on outings and physician appointments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal assistance
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and engaging conversation to promote well-being
• Assist with safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment
• Document care provided and communicate updates with family members as required

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on CNA experience (required for this role)
• Prior experience in home health, long-term care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings required
• Comfortable using medical equipment and familiarity with basic patient care protocols
• Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation, and basic life support (BLS/CPR preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with client and family
• Compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused attitude
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for occasional weekly outings)
• Ability to pass background check
