Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Participate in Certified Medical Assistant training courses and clinical experiences with an experienced preceptor in the clinical setting. (Online coursework will constitute approximately 20% of weekly time, with clinical training being approximately 80% of weekly time.)
Course and certification test costs are covered by CFMC, with a 30-month employment commitment following certification.
Consult with and keep supervisors informed of clinical activities, needs, and problems related to patient care.
Complies with established patient care standards.
Maintains established clinical policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee interdepartmental and public relations.
Greetings patients and escorts them to the exam room.
Takes and records vital and patient medical information in chart.
Prepares patient room for exam.
Assist Provider in procedures as necessary.
Completes ordered lab procedures.
Administer IM, Sub Q injections to include immunizations.
Wound care and suture removal as directed by Provider.
Communicate results of all procedures and tests to Provider.
Discharge patient to receptionist.
Cleans and disinfects exam rooms after use.
Restock supplies, linens, equipment, and checks for defects and outdated.
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars and educational sessions are required.
Other duties as assigned.
Full-time position, 5 days per week, 100% clinic-based, in person work required.
Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.
Compensation: Negotiable based on experience
