Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring accurate documentation within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy (blood draws), aseptic techniques, and wound care in compliance with infection control protocols
- Support patients with complex needs in acute or sub-acute settings like ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Level I Trauma Centers, or post-acute care environments
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or behavioral health units to deliver comprehensive patient service
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification or equivalent caregiving credentials recognized by state licensing boards
- Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including ICU and trauma centers), nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation
- Prior experience with specialized care areas including dementia/memory care, infectious disease management, or behavioral health is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving lifting (Hoyer lift), repositioning patients, and standing for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude toward patients of all ages and abilities

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
