Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring comfort and safety for individuals with diverse needs.

Duties

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Provide support in mobility and transferring patients using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately in EMR/EHR systems while complying with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Assist in medication administration under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Engage with patients to promote mental well-being and provide companionship.
• Support specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities.

Requirements

• Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge is essential.
• Skills in phlebotomy and basic life support are advantageous.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality patient service.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
