Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient and resident care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to nursing staff or medical professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following prescribed orders while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
- Support specialized care needs including Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, behavioral health, hospice, and palliative care environments.
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Assist with clinical procedures like phlebotomy, catheter care, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices across various healthcare settings including long-term care facilities, and home care.
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification or equivalent licensure; Med Tech certification preferred.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience preferred), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS).
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; experience in geriatrics or behavioral health is advantageous.
