Job Summary
We have an on-going need for compassionate and dedicated caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), to provide exceptional patient care in the client's home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, People with Dementia, and those who need companionship. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through attentive caregiving and compassionate companionship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to ensure patient stability.
  • Assist with medication REMINDER
  • Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments through tailored care strategies.
  • Operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices to promote safe mobility and hygiene.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe environment aligned with infection control standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate home & community care plans that meet individual needs.
  • Engage in ongoing training related to CPR & FIRST AID certification, Agency Policy and Procedures, and medical terminology to enhance caregiving skills.

Qualifications

  • Valid CNA certification or PCA license required; prior experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions.
  • MUST HAVE CURRENT CPR & FIRST AID (MUST BEEN DONE IN-CLASS NOT ON-LINE)
  • MUST HAVE CURRENT TB
  • MUST HAVE BACKGROUND CHECK
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices.
  • Ability to perform patient observation accurately and respond promptly to changing conditions.
  • Experience with catheter care and use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate caregiving attitude; ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
