CNA/PCA/Medtech 2nd Shift

The Leland of Laurel Run is currently seeking dependable and compassionate CNA's, experinced PCA's and Medtechs for all shifts. Applicants will be working with residents that need assistance with Activities of Daily Living, medication distribution, and general well being of residents.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Provide care per Federal/State regulations and by following established facility policies and procedures.
• Assist residents in all activities of daily living including, but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, nutritional needs, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and oral hygiene.
• Assist residents with clothing care, personal laundry, bed making, and light housekeeping.
• Practice infection control techniques ie, standard precautions to prevent the spread of infection.
• Observe residents and report changes in physical and emotional conditions to Administrator or supervisor.
• Report signs of poor intake to maintain proper nutrition and hydration levels.
• Maintain a safe work environment and exhibit safe work practices.
• Respond to all call bells and all resident requests regardless of assignment.
• Assist with prosthesis care, vision, hearing and speech needs.
• Perform basic emergency care procedures, first aid, CPR and ABD Thrusts if required and certified to do so.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities.
• Participate in training of new personnel.
• Exhibit knowledge of and effectively follow the emergency and disaster plans.
• Interact cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.
• Attend all required education training programs monthly.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents, family, employee and facility information.
• Accountable for information contained in the employee handbook.
• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner and performs other duties as requested by Administrator or Director of Wellness.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
