CNC Beam Welder Operator

We are a Pre engineered metal building and steel fabrication shop specializing in pre-engineered metal buildings and structural steel. We run automated welding equipment to produce structural members at volume — rafters, columns, and beams. We're hiring an experienced welder ready to transition into machine operation. Full training provided on our equipment. We need solid welding fundamentals and the mechanical aptitude to run a precision machine.

What You'll Do

• Operate automated pull-through welding system on structural steel members
• Set up and adjust machine parameters — travel speed, wire feed, voltage
• Load, align, and feed steel members through the welding line
• Monitor and inspect weld quality against shop drawings and AWS D1.1 standards
• Perform consumable changeovers and routine machine maintenance
• Identify and report equipment issues or quality deviations
• Coordinate with fitters and shop leads to meet production targets

What We're Looking For

• Experienced welder — FCAW, GMAW, or SAW background preferred
• Ability to read weld symbols and structural shop drawings
• Mechanical aptitude — comfortable around automated equipment
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and a team player
• AWS D1.1 certification a plus, not required
• Prior structural steel or PEMB shop experience a plus, not required
