Overview

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixture installation for each job
- Program CNC lathes using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts with precision
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to meet exacting standards
- Conduct routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery, including Fanuc controls and other automation systems, to maximize uptime
- Collaborate with team members on materials handling, fabrication, assembly line tasks, and packaging processes
- Maintain accurate production logs, quality control documentation, and shift reports to ensure traceability and compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing or factory setting
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, including Fanuc controls and CAM programming techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications accurately
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in tooling setup, fabrication processes, welding, stamping presses, press brake machines, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers for quality control purposes
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar design tools is preferred
- Hands-on experience with factory safety protocols and use of hand tools in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail for high-quality output
- Ability to work effectively on an assembly line or fabrication team in a fast-paced setting
