CNC Machine Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Duties

  • Set up CNC machines such as milling machines, lathes, and CNC programming equipment according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
  • Operate CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other fabrication tools like tappers, grinders, and presses.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to ensure accurate production.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Maintain machine calibration, perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Handle materials safely using forklifts or other materials handling equipment when necessary.
  • Assist in tooling setup, fabrication processes, assembly line tasks, and packaging operations as needed to meet production goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and related equipment in a manufacturing facility.
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, CAM programming (Computer-Aided Manufacturing), and CNC programming principles.
  • Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T standards for precision machining.
  • Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in tooling setup, fabrication techniques such as welding or stamping press operation is a plus.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programs for part design review.
  • Competence in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes.
  • Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances.
  • Warehouse or factory experience involving materials handling and safety protocols is preferred.
  • Valid certification or training in forklift operation is advantageous.

Pay: $17.50 - $25.00 per hour
