CNC Machine Service & Maintenance Manager

Job Description

We are hiring an experienced CNC Machine Service Manager to lead service operations for Japanese and European large CNC machines, including machining centers, turning centers, and rotary tables. The role involves managing installations, commissioning, preventive and breakdown maintenance, and leading a team of service engineers to deliver high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage service activities for large CNC machines and rotary tables
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and machine acceptance at customer sites
• Handle preventive maintenance, breakdown service, and technical troubleshooting
• Provide advanced support for CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain)
• Coordinate with Japanese and European OEMs for technical support and warranty matters
• Plan service schedules, spare parts requirements, and service contracts (AMC/CMC)
• Lead, train, and supervise service engineers and technicians
• Ensure timely response and effective resolution of customer complaints
• Maintain service reports, machine history, and customer documentation
• Support sales team with technical inputs when required
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation
• 8–15 years of experience in CNC machine service
• Minimum 3–5 years in a service lead or managerial role
• Strong exposure to Japanese and European CNC machine brands
• Experience with large CNC machining centers, turning centers, and rotary tables
• Good knowledge of CNC controls, drives, spindle systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-handling skills
• Willingness to travel to customer sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 4th & 5th axis rotary tables and automation systems
• OEM training from Japanese or European machine manufacturers
• Knowledge of machine geometry, laser calibration, and accuracy checks
