CNC Machine Setter/Operator

Full time, permanent position available with an immediate start.

Due to continued company growth, we are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our production team. This role will involve setting, programming, and operating CNC machinery within a precision engineering environment. Experience with CNC milling and/or turning centres is essential.

The Company:

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a precision engineering background. You will need to have experience in one or more of the following:

  • CNC Milling – setting, programming, and operating CNC machining centres
  • CNC Turning – setting and operating CNC lathes
  • Machining components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Set, program, and operate CNC machines safely and efficiently
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, and height gauges
  • Carry out quality checks and inspections of finished components
  • Machine precision parts to tight tolerances
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and adhere to company quality and safety standards

  • Experience within a precision engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Working hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

Holiday entitlement:
20 days + 8 bank holidays (+1 birthday holiday)

The company operates a shutdown period over Christmas.
