Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling/turning machines to produce high-quality components. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC milling/turning machines according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Programme CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and other relevant tools.
- Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently to produce parts with tight tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, machine settings and inspection results.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in setting and operating CNC milling/turning machines within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks; familiarity with CAM programming is desirable.
- Basic mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
- Understanding of safety procedures related to machining operations and use of machinery.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret engineering specifications.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or manufacturing technology are advantageous but not essential.
