CNC Machining Centre Setter Operator
Are you passionate about solving problems, learning new technologies and have a keen eye for detail? We are looking for a talented individual who is confident and is keen on developing new skills to work as part of an established team.
The role involves setting and operating various machining centres up to 5 axis. In this role you will join a team of highly skilled professionals who are committed to ensuring everything is manufactured to a very high level of quality. This full time, factory-based role presents a great opportunity for a person who is highly motivated and can adopt a flexible approach to problem solving within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prerequisite for this role – Ability to set and operate complex components on machining centres.
- Prerequisite for this role - Full comprehension of engineering drawings, ability to set and operate complex CNC machines, interpret inspection results and adjust accordingly, monitor tool wear, change and reset tooling using a presetter.

Skill set required:
- Preferable: BTEC Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering or Manufacturing.
- Prerequisite for this role - time served engineering apprenticeship.
- Ability to use manual machines.
- Preferable Fanuc experience.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with standard Office tools (Microsoft Word, Excel etc).
- Exposure of working to tight deadlines in a demanding environment and use of investigative techniques to identify and solve problems.
- Desire to learn new technologies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High levels of motivation and a flexible approach in terms of working hours.
