CNC Machinist

We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic candidates for First and Second shifts(4-10s). We are hiring Early career , Mid and Senior level Lathe & Mill Machinist. Tanksley Machine offers Excellent Benefits that are low cost to the employee, Matching 401K, Paid time off, and a tool purchase program.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2-3 years experience setting up CNC mills, Lathes, and/or 5-axis machining centers
• Experience machining tight tolerance parts.
• Experience working with a shop floor control system.
• Experience with Mazak and Haas is a plus.
• Experience running complex 5-axis parts a strong plus
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize manufacturing processes and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales
• Strong understanding in blue print reading/ geometric tolerancing interpretation (GD&T)
• Experience with tight tolerance Aerospace parts a plus
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
• Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
• Must be willing to work overtime occasionally
• Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.'
