Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in machining processes, blueprint interpretation, and technical tools will ensure the highest quality standards are met efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence.
Duties
- Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes such as Fanuc-controlled equipment to produce complex parts with precision.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and write or modify CNC code as needed for production runs.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to optimize machining performance.
- Utilize electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques for creating intricate or hard-to-machine features when required.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by maintaining organized workstations, reducing waste, and improving process efficiency through continuous improvement practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in CNC programming using Gibbs CAM software; familiar with SolidWorks or CAD for part design review is a plus.
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment safely.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction within the production environment. Join our team as a CNC Machinist and become part of a forward-thinking organization committed to precision craftsmanship! We value your expertise in machining technology and your dedication to producing high-quality components that meet rigorous standards. This role offers an engaging environment where your skills will directly impact our manufacturing success while providing opportunities for growth and development in advanced machining techniques.
