Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, including Fanuc controls, and contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential as you help us deliver top-tier products to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts with precision.
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining.
  • Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and tools, including tooling changes and calibration checks.
  • Apply electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques when necessary for complex or hard-to-machine materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and operating hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages like G-code and CAM programming software.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes involving plastics injection molding or assembly is a plus.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
  • Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine offsets.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in tooling setup, machining techniques, welding, and the use of hand tools or power tools.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Valid forklift certification is preferred for material handling tasks. Join us as a CNC Machinist if you're passionate about precision manufacturing! Bring your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for innovation to help us produce high-quality components that meet rigorous standards.
