Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring precise execution of machining operations.
- Program CNC equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and verify programs for accuracy before production runs.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce parts within tight tolerances.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration devices including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure accurate measurements.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling, or machine operation.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and hand tools to inspect finished parts for quality compliance.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAM programming software.
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with GD&T standards is essential.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements.
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques is a plus.
- Experience with SolidWorks or CAD software for design verification is desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Join our team today if you’re passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your expertise in a vibrant manufacturing setting!
