Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist and Machine Bend Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines—including CNC lathes and milling machines—while ensuring precision and quality in every part produced. Additionally, you will handle machine bending operations, utilizing your expertise in tooling and mechanical knowledge to produce complex components efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, including Fanuc controls, CAD/CAM software, and precision measuring instruments, contributing to the creation of high-quality products that meet strict specifications.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines using CNC programming languages and CAM software to produce precise parts.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
- Perform machine bending operations with precision using specialized tooling and equipment, ensuring parts meet design specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and bending machines to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other inspection instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to review designs created in SolidWorks or CAD software for manufacturability and optimal tooling solutions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of production processes, inspection reports, and machine logs to ensure traceability and compliance with quality standards.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments involving plastics injection molding or similar processes.
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages (such as Fanuc), CAM programming, and blueprint reading skills.
- Familiarity with GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control.
- Experience operating CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work safely with tooling, power tools, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles aimed at reducing waste and improving efficiency.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments for seamless production flow. Join our innovative team where your technical expertise will directly impact the quality of our products! We provide a supportive environment that values safety, precision craftsmanship, and continuous improvement—empowering you to excel every day!
