• 2+ years of minimum CNC Machinist experience is required
• Proficiency with Lathe, Manual Mill, and ProtoTRAK CNC machines is strongly preferred
• Competitive pay range of $26.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience

This full-time, permanent CNC Machinist / Fabricator opening is at a privately held company that makes custom specialty equipment and is recognized worldwide as a driving force behind their innovative solutions.

This position will offer the creativity to see machines come to life that you have helped machine and assemble. No two days are the same. Although the company has some standard products, they primarily focus on custom, low-volume production, so you’ll never get bored working here due to the variety of the products you work with and design. For a motivated candidate, the company is actively looking to train and mentor someone who can take on increased responsibility over time.

The Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of tool room machining and fabrication for custom components
• Perform a wide variety of machining operations, including milling, drilling, turning (lathe), and boring, with a focus on close tolerances and high-quality finishes
• Setup and operate a range of equipment, including ProtoTRAK CNC machines, manual mills, and lathes
• Utilize conversational CNC programming techniques to create and modify machine code as necessary for custom parts
• Accurately interpret and work from mechanical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise component production
• Employ precision measurement instruments to inspect finished parts and maintain the highest quality control standards
• Participate in mechanical assembly of specialized equipment and sub-systems, going beyond basic machining

The Background of the Successful Candidate

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing or tool room environment
• Proficiency in both manual and CNC machining operations (milling, turning/lathe)
• Direct experience with ProtoTRAK CNC controls is highly desirable
• Proven ability to read and accurately interpret complex mechanical drawings and blueprints
• Experience with conversational CNC programming
• Strong attention to detail, precision measurement skills, and an aptitude for mechanical assembly
• A self-motivated individual who can effectively multi-task in a dynamic, small-company environment
• A US citizen or possess a green card, with a residence within a 45min commuting distance of Menomonee Falls, WI
