CNC Machinist – Horizontal & Vertical Machining Centers

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating horizontal and vertical machining centers to produce high-precision components that meet strict quality and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for production jobs
• Perform precision inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and measuring equipment
• Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Maintain machine performance through routine maintenance and upkeep
• Troubleshoot machining and setup issues as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
• Minimum 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Experience working with precision tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-axis machining centers
• Familiarity with precision spindle or tight-tolerance components
• CNC programming or editing experience
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
