CNC Machinist (Swiss & Mill) – Setup, Programming & Operation

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in Swiss-style machines and/or CNC milling to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setup, and operation of CNC equipment to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of working independently while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and accountability in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines and/or CNC mills for precision machining
• Program or edit CNC programs as needed to optimize production
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job travelers
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Troubleshoot machining or tooling issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain machine performance through routine checks and basic maintenance
• Accurately document production, inspections, and adjustments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members across machining and secondary operations

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist (Swiss, Mill, or both)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes
• Experience with setup and program editing required; full programming experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with both Swiss-style CNC machines and CNC mills
• Experience in aerospace, medical, or high-tolerance manufacturing environments

Pay: $20.00 - $31.00 per hour
