Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machine tools to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring precise execution of machining operations
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to produce accurate parts
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Maintain machine tools by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and conducting preventive maintenance
- Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each project, ensuring safety and efficiency during machining processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Machinist with strong CNC programming knowledge, preferably with Fanuc controls, and a solid understanding of machining operations. Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply. - Proficiency in reading complex blueprints and accurately applying GD&T principles to ensure precision and consistency in all machined components.
- Mechanical understanding of manufacturing processes, including plastics injection molding, welding, and assembly techniques, with the ability to apply this knowledge in daily machining tasks.
- Skilled use of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and proper tooling setups to maintain safe and efficient operations.
- Ability to operate CNC lathes and CNC milling machines while following all safety protocols and maintaining high production standards.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement, reduce waste, and optimize workflow.
- Strong basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances with accuracy.
- Ability to operate forklifts for material handling. Prior safety training is preferred, and we can provide certification support for candidates who need it.
