Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced CNC Machinist with extensive hands-on machining knowledge and strong setup, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. This role is ideal for a seasoned machinist who takes pride in precision work, understands tight tolerances, and can confidently handle complex jobs with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working across a variety of CNC equipment and machining operations. We are looking for someone who brings real-world experience, strong machining instincts, and the ability to help elevate the overall capability of the shop.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and optimize CNC machines to produce high-precision parts
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, drawings, and job specifications
  • Edit and adjust CNC programs at the machine as needed
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding for each job
  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality and tolerance requirements
  • Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programs, materials, and machine performance
  • Maintain machine efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and basic preventative upkeep
  • Maintain accurate setup, tooling, and process documentation
  • Keep a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
  • Collaborate with programmers, management, and team members to improve processes and production flow

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a production or job shop environment
  • Strong setup and operation experience with CNC mills and/or lathes
  • Extensive knowledge of machining fundamentals, tooling selection, feeds & speeds, and workholding
  • Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and produce high-quality precision parts
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable editing programs at the machine and making process adjustments independently
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
  • Experience with Haas, Mazak, or similar CNC equipment preferred
  • CNC programming experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail are essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
