CNC Machinist/Programmer / Bench Joiner

JSJ UK are a growing manufacturer and supplier of bespoke Joinery and interior fit outs within the commercial sector. Due to our continued growth we require a qualified CNC Machinist/Programmer with relevant experience to join our team based in Preston.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Working with wood panels, veneered MDF / laminates on CNC Machine, including programming
• Using other machinery including edgebander, panel saw, planner/thicknesser, spindle moulder, drum sander & cross-cut saw
• Assembly of completed goods
• Wrapping & loading goods for storage/delivery
• Dealing with movement of goods, including deliveries into the workshop
• Other workshop based tasks as required

Skills/Knowledge Required:

· Proven experience/qualifications of using CNC Machine

· Experience with CNC programming and Software (Woodwop & Magicut beneficial but not essential as training will be provided)

· Manufacturing skills in joinery workshop

· Understanding and setting up of machinery

· Ability to manufacture purpose made joinery from CAD drawings

· Ability to be able to work independently and as part of a team

· Good communication skills – with clients and staff

· To be able to work to a high standard focussing on quality

· Familiar with Retail, Commercial, Hotels and Residential Sectors

· A Forklift licence would be beneficial, although not essential

· CSCS qualification preferred but not essential

· Experience working with solid surfaces would be beneficial although not essential

Must be willing to work out of normal working hours if/when required. (Weekends and Evenings)

Competitive rates of pay will be based on skills and experience. This will be discussed at the interview stage.
