Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machine Operator with hands-on experience in 4-axis and 5-axis machining centers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, CAD/CAM files, and technical specifications.
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs (using software such as Mastercam, Siemens, Fanuc, or Heidenhain controls).
- Select and install proper tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
- Monitor machining operations, adjust feeds, speeds, and paths to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform precision measurement and inspection of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, CMM, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, identify errors, and make corrective actions.
- Maintain machine cleanliness, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and production teams to ensure accurate and timely job completion.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards (ISO / AS9100 if applicable).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in CNC milling operations.
- Strong background in 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machining & programming.
- Proficiency in CNC control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, SolidCAM).
- Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and materials (steel, aluminum, titanium, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical drawings.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety, precision, and quality.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering industries.
- Knowledge of CNC machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices.
