CNC Milling Setter Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a CNC Milling Setter Operator to join our team here at Kristek Precision. You will set and operate milling machine tools using aluminium and steels to meet customer standards and specifications.
You will work on high-quality components, in small to medium batch quantities, within a production environment.

Hours - 39 per week, Monday to Friday
Monday to Thursday 0700 - 1600, Friday 0700 - 1200

Responsibilities

• Setting and Operating CNC Milling machines using Siemens controls
• Follow manufacturing quality plans, improving and developing as required
• Ensure machines are operating efficiently
• Inspect finished products for visual quality and drawing specification
• Use various measuring equipment to inspect components
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve processes
• Populate route cards and SFDC system to record manufacturing information
• Communicate well with other team members
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace
• Work safely and report any Health and Safety issues.

Skills and Experience

• Experienced and skilled with setting and operating CNC Milling machines using aluminium and steels
• Able to produce products in a range of materials - mainly aluminium and steel
• Adhering to quality standards
• ability to interpret technical drawings to a good standard
• Good understanding of manufacturing techniques
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Computer literate
• Excellent attention to detail
• Positive and proactive approach to continuous improvement
• Familiar with either Siemens or Fanuc controls would be helpful but not essential.
