PNC Setter

Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £16.50 / Hr

We are looking for an experienced PNC Metal Spinning Setter to join our growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong metal spinning knowledge and CNC machine experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate PNC metal spinning machines
• Read and work from engineering drawings and job specifications
• Prepare tooling and materials for production runs
• Carry out machine set-ups and adjustments to maintain quality standards
• Monitor production output and inspect finished components
• Perform CNC operations and machine adjustments where required
• Maintain safe working practices and high housekeeping standards
• Work closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines

Requirements

• Previous experience as a metal spinning setter/operator
• Experience operating PNC metal spinning machinery
• Basic CNC machining knowledge and experience
• Basic understanding of G codes and M codes
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment
• Good attention to detail and quality control awareness
• Good housekeeping standards and organised working practices
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable Skills

• Willingness to learn manual spinning techniques if not already experienced
• CNC programming knowledge
• Forklift or overhead crane experience (advantageous but not essential)
