CNC Press Brake Setter/Operator

We are seeking a skilled CNC Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brake machines to produce precise sheet metal components. Responsibilities

• Set up and programme CNC press brake machines according to specifications and technical drawings
• Operate press brakes efficiently to produce high-quality sheet metal parts
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate bends and dimensions
• Conduct routine inspections of tools and tooling to maintain optimal performance
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Use hand tools and measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions
• Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while ensuring quality standards are upheld

Experience

• Previous experience in fabrication, welding, or sheet metal work is highly desirable
• Knowledge of grinding, assembly, and mechanical processes is advantageous
• Familiarity with tooling setup and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Experience using hand tools and understanding of sheet metal properties is preferred
• Prior exposure to CNC machinery operation or programming is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate

Pay: £15.00-£16.50 per hour
