CNC Programmer
Experience
3–4 Years (Relevant CNC Programming & Machining Experience)
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and multi-axis machines.
- Create efficient tool paths using Delcam (PowerMILL / PowerSHAPE) and other CAD-CAM software.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies to ensure accuracy and productivity.
- Perform program prove-out, first-off inspection, and cycle time optimization.
2. Drawing Interpretation & CAD Work
- Read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D models.
- Convert 2D drawings to 3D models where required for CNC programming.
- Coordinate with design and production teams to clarify drawing or tolerance issues.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code & CAM-based programming)
- Proficient in Delcam (PowerMILL / PowerSHAPE / FeatureCAM)
- Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis CNC machines
- Good understanding of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die
- Experience in job-shop or production machining environments
