CNC Programmer/Set-Up Technician

Job Overview
Pure Fishing is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer/Set-Up Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The CNC Programmer / Setup Technician is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to manufacture high-precision components. This position involves reading blueprints, selecting tools, optimizing machining parameters, and ensuring quality through inspection processes—all while contributing to continuous improvement efforts in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

1. Analyze blueprints and design specifications to determine optimal CNC machining strategies, including tool selection, speeds, and feed rates.

2. Program, set up, and operate CNC Mills with 3 and 4 axis and Lathes with live tooling and dual spindles to produce high-precision components.

3. Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.

4. Create and maintain inspection documentation and quality control records.

5. Evaluate and improve CNC machining processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

6. Train operators on CNC setup, operation, and proper use of precision measuring tools.

7. Perform routine preventative maintenance on CNC equipment.

8. Support and implement process improvements to increase productivity and part quality.

9. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Skills

  • Proficient in Mastercam or similar CNC programming software.
  • Skilled in CNC machine setup and programming (Mills and Lathes).
  • Experience with CMM, micrometers, calipers, and other precision inspection tools.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

What You will Need to Succeed:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree or Technical Certificate preferred
  • 3–5 years of CNC programming experience.
  • 5+ years in a CNC machining environment.
  • Ability to do some material handling, preventative maintenance, lifting, bending and stooping

Pay: $36.00 - $45.00 per hour
