Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Saw Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) saw machines to cut and shape a wide range of materials with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Set up and operate CNC saw machines, including CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and other automated cutting equipment, ensuring accurate material dimensions.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine proper machine settings and cutting paths.
- Program CNC saw machines using specialized software, incorporating GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise fabrication.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality compliance.
- Handle sheet metal, structural components, and other materials safely using forklifts, cranes, or press brake machines as needed.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to identify defects or deviations from specifications; document findings accurately.
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving welding, assembly, or tooling adjustments to meet production deadlines.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming for laser cutting, plasma cutting, milling machines, lathes, and other CNC equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes and machining techniques.
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings with understanding of GD&T standards.
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, stamping presses, press brake machines, and welding equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of forklifts and cranes for material handling within a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring devices.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.
