CNC Set-up Machinist (1st shift) - Manchester/Hookett Area

Position Overview:
We are a growing CNC Machining business looking for the right individual to support our expanding business with a recent addition (doubling our capacity). The right individual has a strong technical acumen having worked hands-on in a machining environment, setting up and running CNC milling and lathe machines. A strong team and quality oriented mind-set is just as important.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• As part of a team, work to achieve production, quality and schedule goals.
• Run CNC machines, monitor running products to produce quality products and insure a successful production run.
• Set-up and prove out/edit CNC programs.
• Provide quality checks utilizing inspection equipment and quality measuring tools.
• Document inspected parts in a neat manner for required quality and customer documentation.
• Growth opportunities as business grows.
• Maintain a safe work environment; identifying improvement areas to anticipate and eliminate hazards
• Maintain a positive, performance-oriented team culture

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of previous CNC machining experience
• Previous lathe experience a plus
• Previous set-up experience required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference and apply concepts of basic math.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong attention to detail, especially when inspecting products
• Must be dependable and willing to work overtime when needed
• Must be able to pass background screen

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to carry approx. 30 pounds at times
