Role Summary
As a CNC Setup/Operator, you will ensure high-quality products are being completed by operating and setting up CNC Mill, Swiss, or Lathe machinery for each job, adjusting tools/parts within machine as needed, handling unfinished and finished parts, maintaining machinery equipment in working conditions, and performing initial quality inspections of products.
- CNC Mill - Mori Seiki NV5000 & HAAS 3-5 axis
- CNC Swiss - Citizen L20 & A20, Tornos Deco 20, and Star ECAS 32
- CNC Lathe - Mori Seiki & Nakamura
2nd & 3rd Shifts receive an additional 10% Shift Premium to weekly base pay.
- 2nd Shift - 230 PM-11 PM (Multiple Openings)
- 3rd Shift - 1030 PM-7 AM (Multiple Openings)
Duties
- Set up CNC machines such as milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment using detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machine issues promptly, perform minor repairs or adjustments, and document setup procedures for repeatability.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Lifting, pulling, and adjusting parts 10-25 lbs into and out of machinery
- Collaborate with team members on assembly lines and packaging processes to meet production deadlines efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of machine setups, production runs, quality checks, and maintenance logs.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC mill, swiss, and lathe machines, or similar equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precise machining tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tooling, fabrication techniques, welding processes, and materials handling procedures.
- Experience working with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality control purposes.
- Prior factory experience involving manufacturing processes like stamping presses, fabrications, or assembly lines is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Pay: $24.00 - $33.00 per hour
