CNC Setup/Operator Lathe Machinist - 2nd Shift

Aurelius Manufacturing is hiring a CNC Lathe Setup/Operator for our 2nd shift team. This is a steady, full-time position in a clean, climate-controlled machine shop with consistent hours and competitive benefits.

Shift Details

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• 3-day weekends every week
• Shift differential pay
• Paid breaks

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes according to blueprints and specifications
• Select proper tooling, fixtures, and materials for machining jobs
• Run parts and perform first article inspection
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure quality
• Make machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and specifications
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC lathe setup and operation (preferred)
• Ability to produce a quality first part independently
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Skilled using measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Reliable, self-motivated, and a team player
• Technical training or machining certification is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
• Lift up to 75 lbs
• Wear required PPE in a manufacturing environment
