Co-Lead Preschool Teacher $17.00-$18.00 Two year olds

This position is for a Lead Preschool Teacher. We currently have a Lead positions available in our Two's. The purpose is to provide the parents and other staff with a specific person to contact with questions and concerns. The Lead teacher will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with parents and co-workers; not only in their class but in all areas of the center. Lead Teachers will work together to assure that the children in their care are meeting the goals to be fully prepared for the next age/classroom and that if there are multiply classes of the same age that all the children of their age group are being provided for equally.

Daily tasks that will be expected

• Manage the classroom to assure all student needs I.e.: feeding, dressing or assisting them to rest, educational goals and communication are being met
• Cover co-staff when needed to take breaks, lunches or days off
• Assist or find assistance for children who need to be escorted to restrooms or are ill waiting for parent arrival
• Assist administrative team in making copies for your class, filing class papers, answering phones and communicating to families’ events taking place in your class or center wide
• Assist in supervision of playground play and the clean-up of play equipment after use
• Contact parents when there is a health concern or behavioral concern with their child
• Complete daily reports, accident reports and health reports as needed on children.
• Conduct Ages and Stages Questionnaires according to the schedule
• Complete weekly assessments if in the Pre-K classes
• Create lesson plans that support the center’s philosophy and goals set for each age group, and the deliver the lesson daily to the class
• Work with children on an individual need when required due to emotional outbursts
• We offer 2 weeks paid vacation and 25 hours of personal time paid. Wages are factored with experience and education certifications held by a teacher.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
