Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Co-Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and respect among students.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain effective classroom management strategies to create a safe and orderly space for learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience of all students.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
- Previous childcare experience is essential; familiarity with toddler care is a plus.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices in early education settings.
- Experience working with children in various capacities such as teaching, caregiving, nannying, or babysitting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and community members to support student success.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and contributing positively to their educational journey.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
