Co-Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Summary

Duties

• Lead daily classroom activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development tailored to toddlers’ needs
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and independence among young children
• Oversee classroom management to ensure safety, discipline, and smooth transitions throughout the day
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to coordinate activities, share observations, and support each other's professional growth
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health protocols, and safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting; classroom experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively using positive guidance techniques
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to maintain organized records related to children's progress and daily activities
• Passion for nurturing young children’s growth through caregiving, teaching, and play-based learning

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
