CO2 Welder (Bosnia & Herzegovina)

The CO₂ Welder is responsible for joining and fabricating metal components using CO₂ (carbon dioxide) gas-shielded welding techniques. This role ensures high-quality, precise welds while adhering to safety standards and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CO₂ welding machines and equipment to weld steel and other metals
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and aligning components
• Monitor welding parameters, including voltage, amperage, and gas flow, for consistent quality
• Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience as a CO₂/MIG welder preferred
• Welding certification (e.g., AWS, ISO) is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods
• Lift and handle metal components and welding equipment up to 50 lbs
• Tolerance for heat, sparks, fumes, and noisy environments

Work Environment

• Manufacturing or fabrication shop
• Exposure to welding fumes, sparks, heat, and machinery
